What I offer
Individual Counselling

What this is
A Space That's
Entirely Yours
Individual counselling is a space that belongs entirely to you. No agenda but yours. No fixed programme. We work at the level of emotion — not behaviour, not insight, not technique — because that is where lasting change actually happens.
My clinical approach is Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) — one of the most rigorously researched therapeutic models in the world. Applied to individual work, it helps people understand what they are actually feeling, where it comes from, and how to relate to themselves and others with more security and less pain.
"You cannot think your way out of what you feel. You have to move through it — and that's what I'm here for.”

THE PROCESS
What Working Together Looks Like
Who It's For
Adults navigating any of the following:
Grief and bereavement — the loss of a person, a relationship, a version of your life
Separation and divorce — the emotional landscape before, during, and after
Life transitions — the moments when who you were no longer fits who you are becoming
Anxiety and the quiet dread that has become ordinary
Burnout — the accumulated weight of feelings that were never properly tended to
The feeling that something is missing, even when nothing is obviously wrong
Anyone who has tried counselling before and found it didn't quite reach them
What to Expect
Sessions are 50 minutes, weekly or fortnightly. We begin with a free 20-minute Zoom call to talk about what's brought you here and whether I'm the right person to help. There is no fixed programme and no pressure to have things figured out before you arrive. I follow your lead. We end when you're ready — not on a schedule.
"Change doesn't come from new ideas or new behaviours. It comes from new experience. That's what I'm here to provide."
Sabrina Barbara
A Note on Burnout
Sometimes people arrive not because of a single event, but because something has quietly been building for years — and the body, or the mind, or simply the ability to keep going, has finally said: no more. If that is where you are, you are in the right place. This is not crisis management. It is the slower, more important work of understanding what was already there — and finally giving it somewhere to go.
